Product Description
The active ingredient of the AKD emulsion is carbon fourteen-carbon hexadecyl ketene dimer, AKD emulsion is a reactive neutral sizing agent, which can be directly used in pulp internal sizing for neutral papermaking in paper mills. It can endow the paper with superior resistance to water and acid-base solution penetration, and can also endow the paper with the ability to resist edge penetration.
It can greatly improve the physical properties of paper and is widely used in the production of coated base paper, electrostatic copy paper, double-adhesive paper, carbonless copy paper, archive paper, photographic base paper, tipping base paper, stamp base paper, dining paper, etc.
Instruction For Use
AKD emulsion can be added directly or diluted to the thick pulp. Generally, the dosage is 7-15 kg/ton of paper for sizing requirements and 12-25 kg/ton of paper for heavy sizing. Good retention, low ash content, and balanced charge requirements are the main factors for the good sizing effect of AKD emulsion. It is generally believed that the PH of cultural paper sizing is 7.0-8.0, and the PH of packaging paper sizing is 6.7-7.5. Higher total alkalinity favors AKD sizing. If you find that the AKD emulsion is delaminated, thickened, and a large amount of gas is released before use, you should stop using it immediately. If you have any usage problems, please contact the supplier.
